In a study published in European Psychiatry, Croissant et al. investigated the effects of quetiapine (Seroquel) in preventing relapse for people dependent on alcohol. Their case series of nine patients had a very positive response. In fact, a placebo-controlled trial is currently getting underway, as you can see here.
