Today's Teachers Tackle The Tough Issues

You'd think this was from The Onion, but no, it is from the latest edition of American Teacher, the official publication of the American Federation of Teachers. Check out the above link to see it in all of its glory.

Where do the presidential candidates stand on this pressing issue? Believe it or not, I will try to write on a more important issue than the Great Water Bottle Debate of '08 tomorrow.

Believe it or not this is a true living example of BS and more BS in schools. WITH an IEP accomodation ONLY, was my daughter allowed to carry a water bottle with her at all times. Believe it or not, these meetings held Supervisors of Secondary Education, teachers, my daughter etc. and to attain this in an IEP was hard to due[it's a legal document]. Give me a break. It's worse than this, but good catch on this post CP.

School politics-- also promote medicating kids....oh, that's off topic. [or is it?]

Lithium requires hydration, Zyprexa users need to watch for over heating in PE...[insert IEP]

The politics of mental health start in Kindergarten, and by the time it hits high school, it's a whole new ball game.

But the cafeterias sell Starbucks.
