Who Owns Congress?

The Senate decided that direct to consumer marketing of drugs is just fine as is after being bought off by the drug industry. The game goes on as usual. Brandweek NRX slaps down Senator Tom Harkin for his role in this debacle.

Peter Rost directs his displeasure at John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Evan Bayh, Frank Lautenberg, and several others whose helped to ensure that the drug reimportation from Canada will remain a no-no. PharmaGossip and were likewise not amused, and they point to Big Pharma doing a helluva job buying votes.

They're just representing the people, as millions of Americans demand direct to consumer advertising and want to pay more for their drugs, right?
